Alexandra Karpin

Alexandra Karpin is a painter who focuses on her interior and exterior surroundings. As a painter, she aims to create beauty when often ugliness is the only thing present. Animals play an important part in her artistic aesthetic, as they are innocent representatives of our environment further she anthropomorphises inanimate objects as part of her artistic expression.

Alexandra has completed a Masters of Fine Arts at the University of New South Wales. In addition she has achieved a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Political Science and history, a Bachelor of Fine Arts with majors in Painting and Screen printing. More recently she has completed a Graduate Diploma of Education.

Exhibitions

Alexandra has an extensive history of exhibiting in group and solo shows. An early success was being awarded the Moyra Dyring Studio Scholarship in Paris. Her last solo exhibition, In My Mind’s Eye, was in June 2019.
